Ecotoxicity effect factors (EF) of 12,768 chemicals (OpenChemFacts v.0.2.0)

OpenChemFacts is an open-data platform dedicated to the transparent assessment of chemicals’ aquatic ecotoxicity.

This dataset provides ecotoxicity Effect Factors (EF, expressed in PAF·m³·kg⁻¹) for 12,768 chemicals. These values are derived from curated experimental test results extracted from REACH (EU IUCLID dossiers) and the US EPA DSSTOX database, and processed through a harmonised modelling workflow.

A public dashboard presents key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data coverage, model performance, and quality metrics:

The file contains the calculated OpenChemFacts effect factors for all assessed chemicals.

Where available, reference values from USEtox 2.14 (2,129 chemicals) and Environmental Footprint 3.1 (5,951 chemicals) are also provided to enable methodological comparison.
