Archives based fishery knowledge: the case of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon Frigorifik

The economic history of the fishing industry in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon is based on three sources. The first source comes from the https://www.nafo.int/ (NAFO), which provides catch estimates dating back to 1960. The second source consists of the SPEC archives from 1953 to 1974. These are private archives donated to the Museum of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. The third source is the territory’s annual reports from 1993 to 2024 (https://www.iedom.fr/Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon).
